New to Abade - Balnabein in Highland Perthshire

Balnabein sleeps 6 is set in a spectacular position above Grandtully, near Aberfeldy in Highland Perthshire. At times of year you might want a 4 x 4 to navigate the steep driveway, but my goodness it's worth it for the views alone. Once there this 4 star farmhouse has plenty to offer, with even a covered barbecue area in the garden, visitors to Balnabein can just chill out and relax.

Below the house nestles the village of Grandtully which sits on the banks of the River Tay. Famous for its stretch of white water rapids and canoe championships, it also boasts the most

amazing Choclatier with shop and very nice restaurant. With Aberfeldy and Loch tay, Pitlochry, Dunkeld and Perth within very easy reach, this locality is hard to beat for things to see and do.

Holiday Cottages in Perthshire, Scotland

Whether you are looking for a last minute short break or a week's holiday (or longer) our Abade Holiday Cottages and apartments could be just the place you are looking for.

For many visitors who have never been to Scotland before, Perthshire is a first choice because of its central geographic location in Scotland and its accessibility to other parts of Scotland. Indeed many visitors get no further than Perthshire because it does have it all - from a romantic break to a town centre excursion, from a cottage or larger house on a highland lochside to convenient central Perthshire locations, we hope we can help you find the ideal destination for you.

At any time of year Perthshire is accessible by rail, bus or by car -the winters of 2009 and 2010 proved challenging at times, but by and large there are few problems and visitors often comment on our quiet country roads, while enjoying the motorway links from Edinburgh and Glasgow that bring visitors to the heart of this beautiful county.

The countryside ranges from the fertile areas of Strathearn and Carse of Gowrie, to the Munros of Ben Lawers, Sciehallion, Beinn Ghlas and others, to such Lochs as Earn, Tay and Rannoch, to the magnificent Blair Castle to Scone Palace, once the crowning place of Scottish Kings, to the woodland walks at Birnam to the forest parks near Aberfeldy. Walking , fishing, climbing, golfing, watersports, mountaineering, sailing and a host of other activities are all catering for in Perthshire.

Make this the year you book an Abade holiday and visit Perthshire.
